Spirituality is a topic that has attracted the attention of health professionals in relation to human care , because recent studies show that this may be a way to improve the quality of life of the sick , as well as encourage greater speed in the process healing and / or coping with diseases . Allied to this fact , the attitudes described in the Bible of Jesus Christ to the sick of them are quite close to what today is called humanization of health services , and stimulate self-care ( ? Your faith has healed you ? ) and the host of the outcasts of society , placing such acts as paradigms well suited for those who choose nursing as a profession that has as its object the study of human caring . The objective of this work is to put spirituality and attitudes of Jesus as paradigms for the act of the nurse . Was used as a methodology to support this proposal bibliographical research , from databases BDENF , LILACS , MEDLINE and BIREME , plus active search in specialized libraries from other sources such as books , dissertations and doctoral theses . We conclude that the literature tends to confirm the proposal being spirituality and attitudes of Jesus Christ parameters that seem to meet expectations of the sick as to the quality and humanization in meeting their basic necessidadeshumanas . However , the training and the curricula of courses in the area of Health does not come denoting favor or prepare future professionals for the practice. ( AU )
