Abstract

Abstract: Satire is a communication style that is typically associated with aggression, judgement, mockery, play, laughter, and references to societal norms. It provides social commentary and criticism, attacks power structures, and can add to controversial societal debates. Satirists are often perceived as credible sources and can serve as opinion leaders for the audience.
