Abstract

A review of developments in satellite remote sensing. Satellite programs such as Landsat, SPOT, Meteosat are outlined. These are then placed in the context of technological developments of: scanner and camera systems, data selection, on-board processing and transmission. Ground processing of the satellite information is then examined including problems of data registration and handling, and image analysis. -M.Blakemore
