Abstract

The applications of submicron diameter carbon filaments grown catalyticallyfrom carbonaceous gases are reviewed. These relate to structuralapplications, electromagnetic interference shielding, electromagneticreflection, surface electrical conduction,DC electrical conduction, fieldemission, electrochemical applications, thermal conduction, strain sensors, porouscarbons and catalyst supports.
