Abstract

ABSTRACT ICTs are currently present in different human activities, one of them is in the government, from this study aims to analyze the digital government of a provincial municipality in central Peru from the perception of its citizens. The research has a quantitative approach, with a descriptive cross-sectional design. The sample consisted of 174 citizens of a province in the central region of Peru. The instrument for data collection was a questionnaire on digital government composed of four dimensions. The results show that 55.7% of citizens perceive that the digital government implemented by the municipality under study is deficient. Likewise, in the evaluated dimensions the results are similar: external (62.1%), internal (58.0%), relational (57.5%) and promotional (60.3%). In conclusion, citizens perceive that the digital government implemented by the municipality under study is deficient and therefore it is required to reformulate the digital government plan (PGD).
