Abstract

Abstract Waste is currently an environmental problem. One of the waste generated is organic waste in the form of the remains of households or restaurants. Individual or group scale waste management is needed to minimize the volume of waste that enters the Final Processing Site (TPA). In this study, food waste processing was carried out using Food Waste Recycler (FWR) to reduce the mass of waste by using conductive drying methods at 70 o C for 5 hours (S1) and 10 hours (S2). Based on research shows the factors that influence the results of processing food waste using FWR tools, namely the mass of waste, temperature, and processing time. Sample S1 decreased by 39% with a final mass of 305 grams and S2 decreased by 73.2% with a final mass of 134 grams. Chemical Characteristics of Food Waste Recycling Results by conductive drying method were S1 obtained a pH of 6.5, 0.81% nitrogen, 1.19% phosphorus, 1.30% potassium, 11.6% organic carbon and a C / N ratio of 13.8, while at S2 pH 7, 0.54 nitrogen%, 1.08% phosphorus, 1.31% potassium, organic carbon 8.36% and a C / N ratio of 15.5. The level of dry matter, color change, odor, and low nutrient level are affected by the FWR reactor operating time.
