Abstract

Knowledge assets and their management currently constitute both a major source of competitive advantage for firms and a major problem. This paper explores the key characteristics and market properties of knowledge. It contributes to understanding the role of knowledge within a firm introducing concept of fast and slow changing knowledge and discussing implications and differences in managing these two types of knowledge inside companies.
