Abstract

This paper presents an original method for evaluating aesthetic factors in the work environment. The study assumes that the aesthetic appeal affects the behavior, enhances the identification, positive effects on the emotional attitude toward work. On the contrary, ugliness causes negative attitude, discourages creativity, causes indifference. In reality between perfection and aesthetic ugliness there is a whole range of intermediate states, which are in very different ways shaping our emotional relationship to the environment. The aim of research is to associate those emotions with d characteristic aesthetic features of industrial forms. © 2013 Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg.
