Abstract

This contribution faces the problem of choosing, preparing and applying render mortars to be used in restoration and repair of historic buildings. The results obtained in this work clearly show that some industrial "dry mortar" products, even if they are not based on slaked lime binders, can be compatible with traditional, lime based ones, with regard to mechanical and physical properties and, therefore, should have a comparable behaviour. © RILEM 2012.
