The preceding chapters have discussed clinical conditions in which high-quality studies have demonstrated the efficacy of BoNTs in alleviating symptoms of various disorders. There are also other important clinical conditions in which the prelimi- nary results of BoNT therapy are promising, though the proof of efficacy still awaits results of high-quality clinical trials. These potential indications, however, pertain to some very common and hard to treat medical disorders; hence, the promising information about them should be of interest to the challenged clinicians. I have selected four such medical conditions for discussion in this chapter in which human clinical trials have been available.
