Abstract

Remote sensing data from Landsat 7 systems were utilized to retrieve urban area Land Surface Temperature. Using Radiative Transfer Equation method to retrieve the Land Surface Temperature of Fuzhou area and get the region's surface temperature distribution, and calculate the surface temperature variations in different surface types. The result shows that city centre surface temperature significantly is higher than that of suburban area, and downtown outward present surface temperature gradually decreasing trend. The average surface temperature reaches 14.04 °C in the entire area studied. © Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg 2012.
