Abstract

The author discusses the use of expert systems and logic programming in simulation. He addresses: (a) the nature of artificial intelligence; (b) it's present and potential applications in the design and management of modeling systems; (c) the potential benefits of this technology over existing approaches; and (d) the current state of the art as it applies to simulation.
