Abstract

Division of the flexor retinaculum (FR)is generally accepted as the most effective method for treating median nerve compression at the carpal tunnel.However, the main drawbacks fromsurgery are a decrease of grip strength and prolonged palmar scar pain. © 2007 Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg.
