Abstract

Attempts to predict future trends in Canadian outdoor recreation, first dealing with societal trends and the changes in demand they may cause. Then, discusses the anticipated effects of technology, and the rate of change of attitudes and behaviour. Finally, the chapter briefly examines the impacts of these anticipated changes in Canadian recreational patterns on the environment, with a short conclusion pulling together major themes and implications. -after Author
