Abstract

The United States and Russia have been deploying methods of cyberwarfare dating back to the Cold War of 1991. With the usage of geospatial satellites, surveillance strategies from cyberspace have become a norm. This norm enables governments to track cybercriminals on the ground, on sea, and in the air. Moreover, through WIFI and Internet connection, cyberwarfare tactics are being integrated as a method of attack. Many people assume current trends in legislative laws are supposed to protect the rights of citizens privacy. Although there has been research deployed to assess the level of threat cyberwarfare has on a managed society. There remain unanswered questions that people deserve to have answered to calm their worries and decrease concerns. Facts regarding cyberwarfare and its significance in correlation with cyberpsychology, are important in helping law makers and policymakers define legislation and laws to protect innocent people from victimization. This chapter provides information about cyberwarfare and its role in ushering in a new era of war that relies on technology and the usage of mobile and computer systems and artificial intelligence. This chapter defines what cyberwarfare is and tries to explain how it impacts a society's ability to control violence through the usage of technology. This chapter also enables you to comprehend the brief history of cyberwarfare and enables you to gain the ability to understand the significance of cyberwarfare as it relates to cyberpsychology. This chapter also will help you understand why thwarting cyberwarfare is crucial and how cyberpsychology can help.
