Abstract

A vast literature dating back many decades addresses the question of business strategies and their definition, formulation and execution. Relatively little has been done on the question of service strategies. Service strategies represent a sub-class of the general class of business strategies which require special attention for any organization engaged in the provision of services. This paper explores the extent to which current conceptions of strategy support the definition of service strategies.
