Issues related to the environment are increasingly addressed in society. With the implementation of the National Solid Waste Policy, organizations are encouraged to find viable alterations in the technical and environmental scope that aim to reduce, reuse and recycle the waste generated in their processes, thus converging to this same common point Cleaner Production and Industrial Symbiosis. The objective of this study was to identify the possibilities of applying Cleaner Production and Industrial Symbiosis to assist the management of solid waste in a Sinos Valley Synthetic Laminate Industry by means of a case study. The data were collected through a residue mapping, performed through unstructured interview and document consultation. The results showed that there is a possibility of applying Cleaner Production to reduce solid waste generation and with Industrial Symbiosis, with the sale or exchange of waste with partner companies in the region that reuse or recycle their processes. The results point to the reduction of environmental liabilities and a projected 95% savings in waste disposal compared to the estimated expenditure on the situation without the application of these strategies.
