Abstract

hyroid and parathyroid diseases combine the focuses of endocrinology and oncology, as one must consider both the hormonal function effects of the tumor and its treatment and the management of the malignancy, or potential malignancy. This chapter addresses the malignant forms of thyroid and parathyroid diseases and their epidemiology, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up. © 2006 Springer Science+Business Media, Inc.
