Abstract

This paper presents a review on using digital technology (DT) for enhancing visitors’ user experiences in museums. The user experience (UX) is one of the key aspects of human-computer interaction between human and technology. Studies have found that using digital technology can enhance user experience in visiting museums, however, more research need to be conducted about what user needs and expects from the technology. The results of the study show, there are many types of digital technology for enhancing user experience in museums that had been developed, but an understanding of the user expectation will be the main key point to develop better-design digital technology applications.
