Abstract

(from the chapter) This chapter presents a taxonomy of verbal behavior. The technical vocabulary of verbal behavior can be entered at any of a number of different points, and therefore the material in this chapter is organized as a glossary with cross-references and commentary. This glossary assumes a familiarity with the basic vocabulary of behavior analysis. The glossary also includes a few cognitive terms often applied to important classes of human behavior and some terms applicable to stimulus and response classes that may have special relevance for verbal behavior.
