Abstract

In this chapter, a simple controller tuning statement by means of the multiobjective optimization design procedure is given. The aim of this chapter is to show a basic example in controller tuning and to focus on the importance of the chosen objectives and the basic use of Level Diagrams as tool for the decision making process. Additionally the multiobjective approach will be compared with available tuning rules, in order to evaluate the tradeoff among those solutions, showing how multiobjective optimization tools could be used.
