Abstract

Enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of procurement process has gained a lot of attention by public and private sectors. This study utilizes the digital certificate to present an electronic bidding system including both parties of bidder and the buyer in the Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) environment. The elaborate design fulfills requirements of information security, namely, confidentiality, integrity, non-repudiation, and authentication, in which can uplift the usage rate of electronic bidding system and promote the security awareness of digital certificate. © 2012 Springer Science+Business Media.
