Abstract

We present the design and implementation issues of a Reliable MultiPeer Protocol (RMPP). This protocol is suitable for applications in the area of distributed virtual environments and is written in Java. Motivation, protocol classification, design goals and the error recovery algorithm are discussed. This paper concludes by presenting a possible application of the RMPP. © Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg 2002.
