Abstract

Sepsis is a common pathology in internal medicine, which has been increased gradually in recent years. In Mexico there are 40,957 cases per year with mortality of 30%; so it is paramount the adequate control of patients with sepsis. This paper presents a systematic review of sepsis with general concepts that allow us to reach early and adequate diagnosis of sepsis and its complications, as well as the management currently recommended.
