Chemical peeling is the application of a chemical substance to the skin so as to achieve controlled destruction of the layers of skin (epidermis +/- dermis), thereby stimulating collagen remodeling and skin rejuvenation. Chemical peels have been used since a long time for various therapeutic and cosmetic indications like acne, scars, pigmentary disorders, photodamage, fine lines, facial rejuvenation etc. Feminine genital brightening and rejuvenation is an evolving demand of many females these days and the use of chemical peels in this indication needs exploration. This chapter talks about the procedure of chemical peeling, various uses in dermatology as well as use in genital rejuvenation.
