Records [I1] in the structure of government institutions support the work of the secretariat and administrative agencies. One such government agency is the Ministry of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia (Kemendikbud RI). The records created is a proof of activity. If the records is not disposaled , it will cause accumulate in a room. Therefore, inactive records transfer is one of the efforts to disposal the records in the Ministry of Education and Culture. This study aims to identify the process of transfer of inactive records within the Ministry of Education and Culture. This research is a qualitative research with a descriptive approach. The data collection method was conducted by interviewing four archivists who contributed in the transfer of active records at the Ministry of Education and Culture through whatsapp and document analysis. The informants consists of two archivists from Unit Kearsipan Direktorat Jenderal and two archivists from Unit Kearsipan Kementerian. This research describes the transfer of inactive records consisting of preparation, acceptance, storage, and making a list of records. The results of this research are carried out in stages from Unit Pengolah to Unit Kearsipan Direktorat Jenderal, then Unit Kearsipan Direktorat Jenderal to Unit Kearsipan Kementerian. The transfer of inactive records at the Ministry of Education and Culture in general is in accordance with the applicable operational procedures, namely the Ministry of Education and Culture's Standard Operating Procedures in 2018 about transfer inactive records from the Unit Pengolah to the ministry's records center.
