Abstract

Among the Asilidae specimens collected from various locations of Turkey during 1994-2007, 2 Dioctria species, Dioctria arcana Richter, 1966 and Dioctria meyeri Nowicki, 1867, are recorded for the first time from Turkey. New distribution areas for previously known species, Dioctria abdominalis Becker, 1923, Dioctria atricapilla Meigen, 1804, Dioctria flavipennis Meigen, 1820, and Dioctria valida Loew, 1856, are added. © TÜBİTAK.
