Abstract

“The Quest to be love(d) in urban schools,” serves as the introduction to the special issue of The Urban Review on love and urban schooling entitled, “What’s love got to do with it? Looking for love in urban schooling.” This introductory piece serves to invite the issue’s readers into the aim and purpose of the subject matter, tying together the through line of love and healing in urban education that exists throughout the manuscripts.
