Abstract

Upon completion of the chapter, the student will be able to: 1. Identify the major risk factors for hip fractures in the geriatric population. 2. Recognize the signs and symptoms of hip fractures in the elderly. 3. Understand the consequences of hospitalization of an older adult with a hip fracture. 4.
