Currently in organizations it is of greater interest to create satisfaction in employees when doing their work. In this context, satisfaction is considered a trigger for an employee to provide adequate work performance. Specifically in the banking sector, these dimensions have not been studied as much to understand closely what influences them. The purpose of this research is to identify if job satisfaction influences the job performance of a group of employees in the banking sector of the state of Morelos in Mexico. The instruments of Warr, Cook and Wall (1979) and Koopmans et al, (2013) were used, a correlational study was carried out with 208 participants. The results indicate a moderate positive relationship (r=0.415), demonstrating that job satisfaction significantly influences performance. Additionally, significant differences were identified in employees over 51 years of age, who showed higher levels of job satisfaction and performance compared to other groups.
