Abstract

Objectives: This is a protocol for a Cochrane Review (intervention). The objectives are as follows:. Main objective To compare the effect of music therapy (MT) in addition to standard care versus standard care alone, or to standard care plus an active control intervention, on psychological symptoms, substance craving, motivation for treatment, and motivation to stay clean/sober. Secondary objective To assess the impact of the number of MT sessions on study outcomes.
