Abstract

Lasers for the treatment of vascular lesions are continually improving using the principles of selective photothermolysis. Important variables to consider in the treatment of vascular lesions are size, depth, and composition. Effective treatment of vascular lesions requires tailoring the light wavelength, fluence, and pulse duration to the specifics of the targeted lesion.
