We have discovered a new source of aluminum hydride -conversion of tetrahydroaluminates under influence of halogenous alkyls. We have proposed the chlorbenzene method of synthesis of AlH3, which excludes adhesion and ensure high quality of the product with respect to its purity, thermal stability, habits of crystals (round shape), and granulometric composition. We determined capability of benzyl chloride to fix AlH4 - groups by the way of complexes formation. This allows increasing efficient concentration of AlH3 solutions and their productivity. © 2007 Springer.
