Abstract

This is the protocol for a review and there is no abstract. The objectives are as follows: A systematic review of the available evidence, both published and unpublished, on the management of localised and locally advanced pancreatic cancer is planned. The interventions to be evaluated are chemotherapy and radiotherapy, in the adjuvant (for localised pancreatic cancer), neoadjuvant (for localised and locally advanced pancreatic cancer) and palliative settings (for locally advanced pancreatic cancer). We will study chemotherapy administered either as single agent or as combination therapy, including with novel agents. We will assess radiotherapy, given either alone or combined with chemotherapy as chemoradiation, chemoradiation followed on by chemotherapy or chemotherapy with follow-on chemoradiation.
