Abstract

In this paper we deal with the logical and physical optimization of select-from-where queries over interval probabilistic data. We present a data model with algebraic equivalences, to be used to verify the equivalence of alternative query plans, and propose and compare different join algorithms over uncertain relations. We also provide a preliminary experimental evaluation of our contributions. © 2008 Springer-Verlag.
