Abstract

In 1995 van der Zee and Bax described for the first time the closure of a posterolateral diaphragmatic hernia by laparoscopy. In 2001 we published a series of three children with a posterolateral diaphragmatic hernia successfully corrected using a thoracoscopic approach (Becmeur et al. 2001). This chapter deals with the technique of thoracoscopic repair of congenital diaphragmatic hernia. © Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg 2008.
