Abstract

It is imperative that the nephrologist focuses on an assessment of the patient’s symptoms and is fully cognizant of the therapies that are indicated in palliative care of patients with ESRD. These differ significantly from those used in the general population as side effects of commonly used drugs can be distressing to patients with ESRD.
