Abstract

This chapter examines how the concept of Talent Management, that was developed in and for the profit-driven sector, might work in the clearly different context of mission driven organizations. Utilizing a series of case studies, we apply a consistent framework to analyse talent management in these organizations and find that the concept is relatively new amongst them, that it operates differently from the private sector and differently from organization to organization. There are opportunities for mutual learning.
