Abstract

The focal aim of this research paper is to explore the drivers that encourage rural people to become successful entrepreneurs and the stumbling obstacles that might prevent them from the intention of becoming successful entrepreneurs. This study is also designed to throw a light on the antecedents that are associated with the entrepreneurship image and entrepreneurial intent of the rural people in Bengaluru. This study was carried out using a structured questionnaire. This paper is especially designed to present the results of empirical study conducted on 400 rural people sampled from 10 villages in Rural Bengaluru on basis of area-cum-judgement sampling. The outcome of this research study clearly revealed that the drivers which motivate rural people to become successful entrepreneurs are in the positive side and the barriers that might prevent them from the intention of becoming successful entrepreneurs are in the negative side.
