Abstract

The authors discuss eGovernment as a computerization movement, and present a case study of a small project that was part of a modernising government initiative in a UK municipality. The case is analysed by means of an analytic construct, the technological action frame or TAF, that was developed by Iacono and Kling in 1998. This socio-technical approach provides distinctive insights at a number of different organizational levels. © 2006 International Federation for Information Processing.
