Abstract

In this paper, a Computer Aided-Diagnosis (CAD) system for lesion detection in breast MR images is designed. The CAD process begins with analysis of MR images to detect the existence of lesion. Then, the detected lesions are coloured based on types of tumours which are benign, suspicious or malignant accordingly. Our CAD system enables better visualization of the lesions and improves accuracy as well as speed for breast cancer diagnosis. Besides, an intelligent database is embedded to analysis the statistically data for the patients. © 2011 Springer-Verlag.
