Abstract

The aim of this study is to identify the self-concept and attachment of children that taken care by mother, close family and paid care giver. Children self-concept are influenced by people around, especially by the child’s care giver. Nowdays, a lot of children are taken care of by not only their mother but also by their close family or even paid care giver. The aim of this study is to identify the self-concept and attachment of children that taken care by mother, close family and paid care giver. The method of this study is literature review. This study shows that the child's self-concept will remain good regardless of the caregiver as long as the caregiver can meet the child's needs and can provide comfort for the child. The conclusion of this study is that the child's self-concept is not influenced by who is taking care of him, but the child's self-concept is determined by the way of care giver treat the children.
