Abstract

High-resolution spectroscopy at near and mid-infrared wavelengths can provideimportantand uniqueinformation aboutprotoplanetary disksaround young stars. In particular, infrared molecular spectroscopyisa good diagnostic of gas in theplanet-formingregionsofdisks within 10 AU of the star.Dataonthe physical conditions, gas content, structure, and chemistry of innerdisks canbeobtained through theanalysis of velocity-resolved line profiles
