Abstract

Now-a-days, the amount of data generated and its use are increasing rapidly day by day. The data generated contains various format, qualities and semantics, for instance, the data collected from the environment, production and machine lines. The quality-related data possibility has the potential to enhance the quality of the product and process sustainability. The surface roughness could be determined with the help of the statistical features of the machine learning approach. However, machine learning possess certain negative impacts as well as challenges, since in certain cases this could distract the system from the main issues or challenges and lead to conclusions that in turn lead to incorrect Actions. This chapter discusses IoT and machine learning, which can enhance Industry 4.0.
