Abstract

This paper presents a formal approach for estimating the execution time and the energy consumption of embedded system using Coloured Petri Net. Experimental results have demonstrated an accuracy of 96% using the proposed formal method in comparison with the values obtained with the hardware platform. In addition to estimation purposes, several properties can be analyzed and verified using the proposed formal model. © 2009 Springer Berlin Heidelberg.
