Comments on the articles by J. Allan Hobson (see record [rid]2014-54589-002[/rid]), (see record [rid]2014-54589-003[/rid]) & (see record [rid]2014-54589-004[/rid]). I answer this question in the spirit of the general Hobson theory which seeks a mechanistic answer to Dream Consciousness. The problem of consciousness involves two aspects for which attention is central: awareness and control. Clearly we are aware in the dream state, but for most people the ability to be in control of the dream content is lost. (PsycInfo Database Record (c) 2020 APA, all rights reserved)
