Application of Artificial Intelligence in Machine Translation

Abstract

With the continuous progress of in-depth learning and the rapid development of artificial intelligence technology, AI translation came into being. And the quality of AI translation will gradually be comparable to that of human translation. Due to the high efficiency and long-term stable operation, AI translation will gradually increase its market share in the future. According to the analysis of international institutions, one per yuan output value of translation will drive five yuan output to the related industries. At the same time, with the vigorous development of China’s “One Belt, One Road” and the deepening cooperation in the WTO, China’s AI translation industry will usher in an unprecedented development opportunity. Today, China’s artificial intelligence, such as face recognition, speech recognition, security monitoring, smart speakers, smart home and other fields, is at the forefront of the world, all of which are amazing. Besides, deep learning is a hot research field. This paper will takes machine translation, an important application branch of this field, as an example to discuss the development status, technical characteristics and some drawbacks of artificial intelligence.
