Abstract

Due to the increase in exploration and exploitation of deep wells, the phenomenon of induced seismicity may well become subject to increased interest by scientists and, if this seismicity is felt at the surface, by the public. The possibility of induced seismicity should be considered in the design phase of large-scale projects such as large reservoirs (ICOLD, 2008).
