Abstract

A review is presented on the development of vehicle aerodynamics. The history of vehicle aerodynamics is presented including the development of wind tunnel testing. Aerodynamic drag and the flow underneath a car body are discussed. The influence of aerodynamics on the shape and design of passenger cars is described. Practical aspects of truck aerodynamics and interference effects are considered. (A.J.)
