Abstract

With the increasing penetration rate of wind power generation in distribution network, the voltage quality problem caused by wind turbine grid connection cannot be ignored. Firstly, we analyze the influence factors of distributed power supply access to distribution network on voltage impulse. Then, based on the PSCAD, the characteristics of the turbine’s grid-connected operation and the voltage quality of the distribution network were simulated and analyzed. Finally, in view of the adverse effects of connection of wind turbine on the distribution network, measures to improve the voltage quality of the distribution network are given, including reasonable selection of the capacity of the wind power plant, suitable location and connection mode, load switching, and using of proper reactive compensation equipment.
